They love watching their Baby Signing Time video. Not sure how much they'll pick up. Eventually, they learned "more" and "all done", but most of all, they loved the other kids on the video. :)

Thanksgiving in Yosemite

Thomas' and Grace's 2nd Thanksgiving was in Yosemite. We drove up to meet Grandaddy & Granancy, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Kathy, and Uncle Brad, and Randall and Foster. We had a lot of fun up in the mountains that weekend, and even saw some wildlife on the way up!

Getting older... new car seats!

We installed their new car seats not long after their 1st birthday. Our car was too small to put them facing backwards, so we put them facing forwards, which we think they liked -- since they could see where they were going, and see mommy and daddy easily!

 

Sleep deeply

Every night, Matt and I will go into their room before we go to sleep to check on them, and I find myself just staring at them -- they are so beautiful when they sleep.

Twins' 1st Birthday

November 9, 2011 marked Thomas and Grace's 1st birthday. Their 1st birthday landed on a Wednesday, and on that evening they tried their first sugar sweet dessert: a cupcake with frosting. Then we had a party for them the following weekend, with friends and family.

Yes, our boat even has a bath tub! And the kids love baths, especially with Dad. :)

 

First Halloween!

We weren't going to dress them up -- I mean, at this age, it's really only for the parents, right?  But then we decided to do it, especially when I was able to buy boy/girl pirate costumes off another parents-of-multiples in the area. We went to Halloween Night at the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, and then all the kids dressed up for Halloween at the day care.

Moving up in the world

They can now use cups with straws!  We skipped right over sippy-cups -- all they wanted to do to them is chew on the spout. (thank you coe leta, for the tip of skipping right to using straws!)

 

Thomas' first tooth!

Thomas got his first tooth a week or two ago, and now he has two teeth coming in.  Meanwhile, Grace has a top tooth coming in!

1st Pumpkin Patch

We drove west over the hills towards the Pacific -- we avoided the main highway (and the weekend traffic) and took the back roads through the redwoods in the VW bus. The pumpkin patch was sunny and warm, and we wandered around... looking at the pony rides, hay bale maze, and the pumpkin patch, before picking our family pumpkin.
